This
commodity group consists of two Commodity Teams:
The research covers husbandry for large and small ruminants and monogastrics;
identification and management of pastures; dairy management for the
milkshed areas of Mzuzu, Blantyre and Lilongwe; and the development
of feeding technologies. Activities are corrdinated from Chitedze,
though a lot of work is conducted at the substations of Chitala
and Mbawa The group works
closely with ILRI, and local institutions, including
Bunda College and the Department of Animal Health and Industry.
